Cyan pikmin are, while non-canon, is widely accepted as pseudo-canon. Many people who write fanon, and the Pikmin Wars community, accept this for any Ice Resistance needed.

Cyan Pikmin are a type of pikmin with light-blue skin who has a lightly blue tinted leaf because it stores water. When they strike a metal target, small bits of pressurized water shower the metal target, rusting it so it can be broken apart. In addition, Cyan Pikmin can siphon water out of an icy target, eliminating piles of snow or icy surfaces. If buried Cyan Pikmin sprouts are showered by water of some sort, they will quickly become flower Pikmin. Their flowers are blue and they can only be grown in Water Candypop Buds.
Also, Cyan Pikmin are resistant to blasts of freezing air.

The Cyan pikmin looks similiar to it's appearence in Shadow Planet, but it acts very different. It is water and poison resistant (due to it's color being light blue) and it is also ice & mist resistant, making it very useful for crossing poisonoous water.

They are the very last species of Pikmin discovered. They have fins running down their backs. They are resistant to water, ice and cold water, and are crucial in getting through the last area and its caves. They are grown in Teal Candypop Buds, and are stored in the ship until you get the Artificial Incubator, which lets you grow them in the ship too.

They are the seventh species of Pikmin discovered. They are resistant to ice, which makes them ideal for fighting against teddious enemies such as the Freezing Blowhog. They are found first in Ice Candypop Buds, however later in the game, it is dicovered that they do have an onion.
