CAUTION: SPOILERS[edit | edit source]
Dark Spores are small spheres which ironically seem to be made of pure white light. They have a corrupting influence on creatures that spend too much time exposed to them. They aren't native to the planet of the Pikmin, and much about them remains unclear. The energy that they contain within themselves can only be harnessed by the Complex Parasite. Dark Spores are uncommon and there is one on the final floor of every one of the Dark Caves.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
The Smoky Progg is created when a Mitite burrows into a Dark Spore. This causes great changes to occur within the Dark Spore, making it no longer a Dark Spore but the creature's nucleus. The Omega Progg, however, is a completely different story.
The unexpected return[edit | edit source]
|Pikmin: Global Breakdown
This article contains information that relates to the non-canon game Pikmin: Global Breakdown, which was created by Peanut64, a user on this Wikia.
In Pikmin: Global Breakdown, the Venom Paracite found a Dark spore and was effected. It immeadeatly took control of a Tick's brain and started to make the giant Tick suck all of the nature away from the Pikmin Planet to become powerful for searching for the Kriptonite Spore, thus giving it power to become immune to the universe's most dreadful substance, Kriptonite... Also the Dark Spore was affected by the Breakdown, giving it times 1,000 more power.
