The Insect District is a cave in Pikmin 3: Return to the Pikmin Planet. This cave is located by several piles of leaves that have bulborbs come out of them when you walk by, and by several Woodwigs. This cave has a grassy/muddy outdoors theme, like many in Pikmin two, and it is also sunny despite being underground. The cave itself is full of badly-made house-like structures made of leaves, sticks, stones, and other natural objects. When you walk by them, most of the time creatures will come out, but sometimes they are gatrhered around a few houses or so. Sometimes a treasure is in a house and the house must be destroyed by having 30 Pikmin standing on the roof of one so it collapses. Olimar can also go in the houses if he wants. This cave, instead of having straightforward paths, mostly has large, open sublevels. Many times houses are close together. In the P:RttPP Atlas, Olimar mentions that he feels bad killing the creatures and destroying their little neighborhoods, and he also expresses his amazement that the bugs could create something like this.

Trivia[]
