Rare Purple Pikmin, also known as Light Purple Pikmin, are a new Pikmin
type from Pikmin: A New Journey. They are a rare variation of the normal purple pikmin. When you throw a Pikmin into a Violet Candypop Bud, there is a very small chance one of these will come out instead of a normal Purple. They seem shy and do not enjoy fighting; they only do so because they are commanded to. The one thing you'll immediately notice about them is they are a much lighter shade of purple than a normal Purple. They also have very good hearing because of their cat-like ears. However, the defining trait of a Rare Purple is not either of these things- it's the fact it has wings. Normally it keeps then folded to its back, but when thrown, they can redirect their path wth their wings if ordered to. Their flowers are red.
