This type of Grub-Dog has created a type of thick syrupy substance that secretes from its body. The orange syrupy stuff is what gives it its melting appeal. If any Pikmin but Black Pikmin approach it, they will stick to the Bulblax. These Pikmin are vulnerable to other enemy attacks. Not only will the Pikmin get killed by the enemy, depending on the attack, the Bulblax may also get hurt. However, pikmin stuck to the Bulblax cannot be eaten by that Bulblax but cannot attack it more than once. The Pikmin will not be able to leave the Bulblax until it is defeated. Any pikmin stuck to a Sticky Bulblax at the end of the day will be counted as dead through sunset.
How to Kill[]
Only Black Pikmin should be used to eliminate these creatures, especially if there is a pair of them near each other. A large enough squad of (purple) pikmin may be able to defeat a Sticky Bulblax at one attack each, but it is not recommended due to the possibility of not doing quite enough damage and the healing factor. Captains can also kill this beast once they obtain a special item.
Pikmin: Wrath of Mr. B[]
These creatures are mostly fond underground, although some can be found in swampy areas aboveground. In this game, pikmin (other than black pikmin ) that are thrown onto the bulblax get stuck to its syrupy coating and are then licked off by the bulblax's long tongue.
