The Stone Long Legs is a boss in Pikmin: The Key of Beginning. As a member of the Arachnorb family, it is a spider-like creature that is actually the larval stage of the Beady Long Legs. However it's skin appears to be made from a stone like substance which only Bomb-Rocks can penetrate, so Orange Pikmin must be used to defeat it.
Role
The Stone Long Legs acts as the first boss type enemy and is the boss of the Cavern of Redemption. It holds the Impenetrable Distorter, which up-grades the Captain's suits so they have resistance to explosions. It later appears in the Magnetized Ruins where it acts as a sub-boss. When defeated it releases a single 20 pellet.

The Stone Long Legs is the larvae form of a Beady Long Legs. Unique to the Stone Long Legs is that that its skin generates a chemical like essence which reacts with the air, causing its skin to become incredibly hard and rock-like, hence it's name. Studies have yielded new information in where its seemingly impenetrable skin can be penetrated with the usage of Bomb-Rocks. The Carbon Dioxide slows down the reaction, causing the Stone Long Legs "true" form to be seen.
